Mr. Shyamalan has elevated his downward slump with this one. I liked it, a lot. McAvoy owned this role. He plays a character with 23 (24) personalities and though we don't see all of them, we see enough to see a fun range of characters all played to perfection.
As with all of M. Night's work, there is a twist, so as I like to do, will stay very vague. The script is great and fun in a dark way, the character flaws are well portrayed and I thought the way things went down felt real. Like 10 Clearfield Lane, the set was minimal and this really made the actors skills shine.
I'll leave it at that. M. Night hasn't made the best of movies as of late, but give this one a chance. It's good. Oh, and I learned what the twist was prior to watching and it made me want to see it all the more, so I'll add the spoiler below the trailer. Cheers.
There is a cameo with Bruce Willis, reprising his role from Unbreakable. So, this is an official Unbreakable sequel.
